Rocky Mountain Autumn

The changing of the colors from green to gold and red triggers in most the knowledge the days are going to be shorter. The thermometer is going to dip a little more each day until the leaves have all been blown away and the snow begins to fall. Time to pack away the summer clothes and bring out the down coats and snow boots. Bring the livestock closer to home to feed until the grass is green again.

Being born in Michigan, I spent my childhood in Northeastern Washington State. Raised my children in Alberta Canada, winter is something I am very accustomed to.  I still cling to the hope fall will last just a little longer and spring will be just around the corner.
