Flamingo Dance
I suppose you could call me a Birder these days. After years of photographing horses in just about every discipline, wild and otherwise switching to birds seems a strange transition. However I find that I really enjoy it. I have to admit it’s a lot easier to photograph a 1000 pound animal that at top speed can’t warm up a 3 oz song bird. Not to mention they really don’t want to have anything to do with you. It’s like trying to photograph a bullet. I like the challenge, and it’s a great way to get out into the bush for the day.
This painting is the result of a trip to the Dallas Zoo. The color just couldn’t be denied and had to be painted.
