Buffalo Shadow

May 2, 2021 | Photography, Wildlife

Never was there a more powerful force than the Buffalo who roamed the grasslands of North American. He supplied nourishment, warmth and lodging to the people who shared his domain. He was the source of legends, songs and traditions that still exist today. He commanded respect from those who shared their lives with him and was revered by those who’s very survival depended on him. I was traveling down a dirt road in North Texas and found him all alone in a pasture. Standing under a massive Oak Tree I had to turn around and spend some time with him. Referenced from one of several photographs I took of him during our impromptu photo shoot.
