Chasing The Moon

I am working on a series of contemporary brightly colored watercolors. “Chasing The Moon” is the first. I have always painted in a more controlled style and have been trying to loosen up a little. So I will lay down the color with no particular idea in mind and let the color and shapes dictate the finished image. I have to admit it’s fun.

Home away from home at our Sheep River base camp. Oh the stories this cook tent could tell. Lot’s of good food, clients, friends and family. When the smoke is rolling chances are there is a fresh pot of coffee brewing. If you had an in with the cook there might even be a little Baileys stashed in a pack box. Breakfast is in order prior to that fishing trip up to Burns and it’s a welcome sight for the saddle sore at the end of the day. Steaks on the grill with all the fixings. Top it off with a piece of apple pie and sweet dreams. It’s up bright and early with this crew. A new adventure is just around the corner.
