Artesian Bread No Knead Bread

A simple loaf of bread that makes meal fabulous. It’s easy to make and costs about $2.00 per loaf, with no preservative how can you go wrong? Give it a try and you will be hooked.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 3 cups artisan flour
  • 2 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups of warm water

Instructions

Mix the dry ingredients together and then add the water.

 Knead just enough to thoroughly mix.

Place in a large bowl and cover with a cloth. Let it rise anywhere from 4 to 8 hours.

Punch it down and form the dough into a round or rectangular loaf. Put it in your pan of choice lined with parchment paper. You can butter a loaf pan if you prefer. Cover and let it rise for about an hour.

Score the bread once it has raised.

Cook it in a 450 degree oven for 20 minutes covered and remove the lid of the pan to let it brown.

Cover with aluminum foil for the first 20 minutes as well.

Notes

Heavy cast iron pans are preferable.
