Chasing The Moon
I am working on a series of contemporary brightly colored watercolors. “Chasing The Moon” is the first. I have always painted in a more controlled style and have been trying to loosen up a little. So I will lay down the color with no particular idea in mind and let the color and shapes dictate the finished image. I have to admit it’s fun.
A bucket list trip for me. Spending time whale watching, throw in some hikes and a lot of photography. Haida Gwaii is an archipelago located between 55–125 km off the northern Pacific coast of Canada. The islands are separated from the mainland to the east by the shallow Hecate Strait. Queen Charlotte Sound lies to the south, with Vancouver Island beyond.
